Last night the Board of Education recognized and celebrated this years Educators and Educational Services Professionals of the year. These outstanding staff members are all incredibly deserving of this honor and represent the very best of Spotswood every day.

Mrs. Astalos’ 2nd Grade class learned about growing Grass (Rye) and pesky weeds that interfere with its growing process.

Students in Mrs. Siwiak’s class prepared for their first Social Studies Regions Assessment by working in teams to create Google Slides presentations reviewing the resources and landforms of the United States.

The Memorial Middle School Life Skills Class came to visit Appleby to learn about sea life and explore different creatures with Mr. Duffett’s class.

Schools across the district welcomed very special visitors for Take Your Child to Work Day, giving our staff members’ children a behind-the-scenes look at the school day while participating in fun activities alongside staff members.

Mrs. Scuorzo’s 5th Grade ESP group used LEGO Education Spike kits and their engineering skills to create an amusement park.

Third grade visited the Historic Village at Allaire State Park for their class trip, where students learned about Howell Works and the history of iron production in New Jersey.

The PTA sponsored a Chinese Acrobat Assembly for Appleby School. Students had the opportunity to participate in the exciting performance that featured balancing acts, acrobatics, and much more fun.

During Autism Awareness Week, students from Mrs. Scuorzo’s 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade ESP classes, along with Mr. Duffett’s and Mrs. Falzon’s students shared daily announcements with the Appleby community.
