Appleby Elementary School is committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students develop strong academic skills, build character, and learn to work collaboratively with others. We prepare students for success in middle school and beyond by fostering independence, resilience, and a growth mindset.

Acceptance We welcome and respect everyone in our school community. APPLEBY students understand that every person is unique and valuable. We celebrate differences and create a school where everyone belongs.
Perseverance We keep trying even when things are hard. APPLEBY students don't give up when faced with challenges. They understand that mistakes are part of learning and that effort leads to growth.
Positivity We approach learning and life with a positive attitude. APPLEBY students look for the good in situations, encourage their classmates, and believe in their ability to succeed.
Leadership We take responsibility for our actions and set a good example for others. APPLEBY students show leadership in the classroom, on the playground, and in the community. They make choices that help themselves and others.
Empathy We understand and care about the feelings of others. APPLEBY students practice kindness, show compassion when someone is struggling, and work to make others feel supported and valued.
Bucket Filler We add to the happiness and well-being of others. APPLEBY students fill buckets by offering compliments, helping classmates, and spreading kindness. They understand that when they fill someone else's bucket, they fill their own too.
